Fr. Albert Tan, SJ
Fr. Albert Tan SJ is a Jesuit who studied in the Philippines and Canada en-route to his ordination as priest in 2005. Upon completion of his Theology studies, he was assigned to St. Francis Xavier Church, PJ, initially as Assistant Parish Priest and later as Parish Priest until 2015. Subsequently he left for Australia to pursue a Masters degree in Spiritual Direction. Thereafter in 2018, Fr Albert was assigned to the Philippines as Socius to the Novice Master of the Malaysia-Singapore Region, Formator of the Sacred Heart Novitiate, and Spiritual Director of the Sacred Heart Retreat House. He returned to Malaysia in November 2021 to take up his new appointment as Director of Maranatha House of Prayer. Fr Albert has been involved in retreat-giving on a part-time basis since 2006. From 2019 to 2021, he assumed full-time ministry and finds retreat-giving and spiritual direction to be a very life-giving and humbling ministry. As such, Fr Albert is looking forward to his assignment in Maranatha House of Prayer.
Fr. Alberto Irenus David, SJ
A Jesuit for 23 years. After his final theological study in Taiwan and Ireland, he
was missioned to be the Assisting Priest in the Parish of St Francis Xavier,
Petaling Jaya for six years. A founding member of the Conversation Hour - " One
Conversation At A Time"- platform. Took an exploratory one year to serve the
rural poor Catholic Community Chapels and the small Chinese Community under
the Cathedral of Saint Francis Xavier in Keningau, Sabah. Now, he is promoting
the Way of the Heart as an Ignatian approach for individuals to deepen their
participative roles in God's work of compassion.
Fr. Francis Lim, SJ
Fr Francis Lim, SJ is a Malaysian Jesuit priest. Since December 2022, Fr. Francis Lim has been serving as the superior of the Malaysia-Singapore Region of the Society of Jesus. He has a Masters in Philosophy from Sekolah Tinggi Filsafat Driyarkara, Jakarta, and a Masters in Theology (ThM and STL) from Regis College, Toronto. He was the Principal of St Joseph's Private Secondary School in Kuching from 2012 to 2021.
Bro Gerard Choo, SJ
Br. Gerard Choo, SJ is a Jesuit Brother for more than 30 years. He has an MA in Pastoral Ministry, and was in family counselling, and is trained in spirituality. He is also a registered pharmacist.
Bro Ian Cribb, SJ
Bro Ian Cribb, SJ entered the Society of Jesus in Melbourne in 1971. In 1991 he was appointed the Vocation Promoter for the Jesuits, a position he held for sixteen years. He has been a member of the Provincial Consult for three Jesuit Provincials and was appointed the assistant to the Provincial of the Jesuits in Australia [Socius] for three years 2003-2005 before being assigned as the Director of the Centre of Ignatian Spirituality in Sevenhill South Australia, a position he held for ten years. He is currently the Provincial Assistant for Jesuit and Ignatian Spirituality Australia. Ian was on the Bishops Executive for the recent Plenary Council in Australia and is now a facilitator for the 2023 and 2024 Vatican Synod Assemblies.
Fr Moses Kan, SJ
Fr Moses Kan, SJ is the director of Kuangchi Cultural Group in Taiwan. He teaches Ignatian Spirituality and has given directed retreats and workshops in Taiwan, many countries in Asia and the USA for the Chinese communities.
Fr Ramon Bautista, SJ
Fr. Ramon Bautista, SJ is a Filipino Jesuit priest. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1977. He holds a doctorate in Spirituality from Heythrop College, University of London and he has been a formator to seminarians for decades. He is currently the Tertian Master for the international tertianship program of the Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific. He is a much sought after speaker on prayer, spirituality, spiritual direction, and retreat-giving. He is also the author of several books on Ignatian Spirituality, Ignatian Discernment, and prayer including "Wood for the Fire" and "Schooled by the Spirit".
Cecilia Chai
Cecilia Chai retired from her full time academic career at a private university college. She is a licensed counsellor with the Malaysian Board of Counsellors. She has a PhD in Counselling & Guidance, spends most of her time journeying with young adults. She completed the MARANATHA 3-year Spiritual Companion programme in 2011. Since 2016, she has been a spiritual companion at MARANATHA House of Prayer. In 2019, she made The Full Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius (30-day silent retreat) at St. Beuno's Jesuit Spirituality Centre in Wales, UK. In 2021, she embarked on a 3-year Ignatian Training Programme to become a spiritual director.
Kay Cheah-Lim
Kay Cheah-Lim received her training in the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius at Maranatha 3-Year Spiritual Companion program (2009-2011); Manresa Spain, the cradle of Ignatian Spirituality (2013) and completed retreat giving course in The Centre of Ignatian Spirituality in the Philippines in 2016. Since then she has been a Prayer Companion at Maranatha Retreat House. She was a counsellor and is presently a Spiritual Director at her church and involved in its international group ministry.
Lilian Koh
Lilian Koh has been trained in the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius, completing the Maranatha 3 year program in 2011. She also has a certificate in spiritual direction from Spiritual Growth Ministries, and a Masters in Christian Studies. Lilian is retired from the medical profession. She gives retreats and serves as a spiritual director and counsellor at her church.
